Cecil and me
After my divorce, my Labrador took over my husband's side of the bed. He smooched the pillow and stretched out like a human. I remained true to my side of the bed. We slept like this, side by side, for 7 years. I would occasionally have an overnight guest who would request the dog be relinquished to the bottom of the bed. This never worked out, as I usually ended up crowded in the center, sandwiched between a stranger and my dog.
